“Narco Sub” new movie set to Release in Central Florida - Director, Shawn Welling

Independent film Director, Mr. Shawn Welling is earning his due respect in the military veteran community with his Remi Award-winning motion picture, “Narco Sub”. Follow this compelling story, introducing actor Tom Vera, who plays a former U.S. Navy Seal, Bruce Stryker.

Commander Stryker will do anything to get his kidnapped family back from the Colombian drug cartel leader, played by well-known actor Robert LaSardo. “Narco Sub” is Action packed, and setting a higher standard of quality, for independently produced films. You will also see appearances by a couple of our favorite actors, Tom Sizemore and Mr. Lee Majors.

Set to release September 10th in Central Florida, this movie has already been instrumental in starting much needed conversations about creating a solution for the worldwide problem of Human Trafficking.

Can a small team of independent media professionals gain market share from giant Hollywood Studios? Yes. It takes a high level of quality experience and confidence to accept the mission of going head to head against the Hollywood machine.

“Narco Sub” uses entertainment to bring attention to human trafficking, which is a worldwide problem that we face; and this message is important enough to defy all odds. Bringing a film to the big screen during COVID-19 is no easy task.

Imagine an independent film like "Narco Sub" taking Big Screens away from a Hollywood movie title at the cinemas! That's a big deal. There are a limited amount of screens in the USA, and every film project is competing for the attention of cinema owners.

Patriot Day eve, September 10, 2021 Deepwater Productions and U.S. Army veteran Mr. Marcus T. Bovee II, CEO of VetFlicks will bring new film content to the big screens. The problem is that theatres have been denied new films by Studios for the past year. It makes it very challenging to operate a business like a theatre if the people who own the content are not sharing it. Now these cinema owners will honor their exhibition family relationships with independent film distributor, Impact Releasing, by screening “Narco Sub” to live audiences in Central Florida, USA.

Integrity and levels of high character are always in style, in business and with personal relationships. This is why when things got tough in the external environment, Mr. Bovee and his team did not lay down to die. They knew an audience was starving for new content, and they wanted to serve their community. There is a story here about resilience, true grit and doing whatever it takes to connect with the right people.

An unexpected opportunity was created since the pandemic, and CinemaCon is where “Narco Sub” moved in to gain rapid business growth. What this team has accomplished is the glimmer of hope and inspiration needed for the indie film community.

CinemaCon isn’t just a gathering for Hollywood exclusives and big wigs; it's a huge cinema industry trade show, that covers all facets of the industry such as: the newest equipment, exhibition tools, distribution strategy, marketing, publicity, and advertising.

As well as concessions dealers, showcasing their latest and greatest cinema food!!

Most of the usual suspects of Hollywood were there, but a few larger companies seemed like they were non-existent at the show this year.

Are these large Hollywood companies banking on streaming vs. cinema, maybe they are taking extra precautions for COVID-19, or are they tightening up on budgets?

What did people talk about at the convention?

Jeff Whipple from Megaplex Theatres in Sandy, Utah suggested that we start a hashtag #CouchesToCinemas or something along those lines. . . It was an intriguing conversation about audiences streaming vs. going to the movies.

The basic idea is that we need to get people to get back into the Cinemas to experience stories on the Big Screens again.

Streaming on a TV is really cool, but the experience of a Cinema is something that deserves to be shared with future generations.

Texas competes with Hollywood - "Narco Sub" the movie is making waves with #summerofstryker

The Texas Film Scene is proving that you don’t need to be in Hollywood to get things done.

Summer of Stryker is here!

When a person typically thinks of Texas, they might not necessarily think of Film productions and Movie premieres on the red carpet, as one of the major qualities of the Lone Star state. 
This has changed recently, with Texas-based companies producing Hollywood level films and bringing in the talent to match. 

Non-studio companies have not let the pandemic halt their progress. As a matter of fact, they have found more ways to produce and distribute films efficiently and with tighter budgets. Deepwater Productions has hosted a series of Military Appreciation Watch Parties, where they offer free T-shirts for a certain number of early guests. 

Will the recent box office success of these independent companies attract big budget production companies and talent agencies out of Southern California, and into Texas or Florida?
